In her current series, Michelle is intuitively exploring the tensions between materials as a catalyst to unpick the relationship between land, sea and sky. Combining techniques through slow and fast mark-making, from meditative to frenetic, she is enjoying an irreverent approach to her painting using precious gold and copper leaf, rubbish from the floor, neon children’s glitter paint, and traditional oils.
