Pottery and working with clay in all its many aspects has been a lifelong interest of mine, and I first attended evening classes at High Wycombe College in 1958 when I was 20. I have returned to them throughout my life at various venues and with some very inspiring teachers.
I semi-retired in 1995 and seized the opportunity to set up my own studio at home. I work with a range of stoneware clays and mix my own glazes making a variety of decorative bowls, vases, garden pots and domestic ware, mostly wheel thrown. As well as the satisfaction of making pots it is a source of great pleasure to me when people report how much they enjoy using them around the house and garden.
I am a member of the Buckinghamshire Pottery & Sculpture Society and the Marlow Art & Crafts Society.
I have taken part in Bucks Art Weeks since 1998 and exhibit all year round at Obsidian Art.
