I moved to London from Denmark and studied at the London College of Fashion as I wanted to explore a bigger world, eventually settling in Buckinghamshire. The Chilterns being an ever-present source of ideas.
My work with concrete jewellery embraces the imperfections inherent in its creation, which naturally occurs during casting, ensuring that no two pieces will ever be the same. Gold leaf or glitter enhances the natural textures of the medium, sometimes resembling stars across a dark sky, at others sparkly geodes.
Having grown up in Denmark, I am inspired by the sometimes harsh and rugged landscapes of the north coast, the vibrant light found in Skagen, where 2 oceans meet, and modern contemporary architecture.
Come and see me in the Gallery on Wednesday the 12th and 19th between 12-2pm.
