Sue trained at Amersham College of Art where she focussed on her love of drawing and painting, although her studies also included sculpture, pottery and printing. Sue gains inspiration for her paintings from the places she visits, both in the UK and abroad, and tries, wherever possible, to work from ‘real life’ landscapes or seascapes, gaining as much reference as she can from her immediate surroundings. She uses a variety of media and also paints still life, buildings and flowers. As well as paintings, she will be exhibiting a number of her drawings from her life classes which she believes are a very important discipline for her work and which she regularly attends. She will be exhibiting her work alongside her husband Eddie's photography at this delightful, centrally located gallery in Wendover.
