My jewellery is designed and made by hand, predominately using silver, together with touches of gold. Other metals such as hand-coloured anodised aluminium are also incorporated to add interest and contrast. I also work with unusual and distinctive semi-precious gemstones which I set in sculptural forms with clean clear lines. Techniques such as roller printing with fabrics and hammering are used to create texture and interest.
I trained as a jeweller as an adult learner at college evening classes, followed by attending a specialised jewellery and silversmithing studio to develop skills and techniques, where I met my fellow jeweller Grant Forsyth. I shall be exhibiting together with Grant at Burnham Jewellery Studio again this year, and we look forward to welcoming visitors, both regular and new.
