Jay is an artist, illustrator and award winning tutor working in watercolour, inks and gouache often combining all three to produce vibrant nature based work. She lives on a houseboat moored on the Grand Union canal and works from her studio in Leighton Buzzard.

After studying in Brighton Jay moved to London as an illustrator. During this time she also worked as a photographers stylist, window dresser and did two seasons at the RSC in the wardrobe department. After establishing herself as a successful freelancer Jay returned to Buckinghamshire. A slower pace lead to painting, growing veg, raising hens and children. She started her own design company in the mid 90’s specialising in greetings cards and gift wrap supplying the top London Stores. A chance meeting lead to a teaching qualification and from there running her own sell out workshops in Bucks, Beds, Northants and Oxon. Jay is all about the COLOUR!
