I mostly paint in oil using traditional methods and I love combining classical techniques with contemporary themes and materials. Each one of my paintings is a learning experience; I hope you enjoy them.
Painting in any genre is joyfully absorbing but still life in particular, allows us all to pause, to really slow down and look.
Objects within a still life composition are more deeply observed than we manage in everyday life & I enjoy playing with the idea of ‘value’, presenting beauty in the mundane or overlooked. Though realistic, my paintings are not purely representational. I hope they can be enjoyed on different levels.
This is my 3rd Bucks Artweeks and I feel privileged to be showing my work once again with an amazingly diverse group of nine Artists in the Orchard Barn.
