From her workshop in Chesham, Emma creates quality, bespoke furniture and homeware, from desks and bedside tables to wine racks and bath caddies. She is a magpie for thrown-out and reclaimed timber and brings it back to life by creating something new. Her designs are based on purpose, simplicity and tactility and celebrate the small details: velvety-smooth finishes, corners ‘just so’, knots, whorls and grain front and centre.

She is also passionate about reconditioning old-fashioned or unloved furniture, looking through dark, grungy varnish and seeing shape, purpose and potential. She restores and reimagines what each piece can be, using beautiful contemporary colours, patterns and finishes.
