Solo Exhibition at Molasses House Gallery, Harpenden - Dates TBC
Skevi is a London born artist known for her modern, colourful abstract and seascape resin paintings. She started her artistic journey painting with acrylics to relax and wind-down in the evenings whilst working for a major investment bank in New York. She transitioned to using resin after admiring its high gloss finish and realising its full potential when the resin is tinted. Skevi became inspired to paint big, bright, colourful artwork after seeing empty white walls in the homes of many expatriates during her 13 years in Singapore.
Skevi Started selling her work in Singapore in 2017. Her ‘Seascape’ and unique ‘Life’ collections have been her most popular collections to date. Artworks with titles inspired by Skevi’s feelings, world events or simply wanting to portray a positive message. Her work has evolved over time and the layering, depth and detail on each piece is something that is not achievable by traditional painting methods using acrylic or oils.
Skevi has successfully exhibited internationally and had a successful solo exhibition at Molasses House Gallery in 2023. Her artwork decorates homes, offices and hotels in numerous countries across the globe and her work has been featured in Tatler and The World of Interiors magazines. Skevi has been a finalist for the Art Unlimited Open Art Competition 2022 and longlisted for the VAA Art Prize 2022 & 2023. She works directly with clients, interior designers and art consultants to create the perfect bespoke piece of art.
Skevi supports fundraising efforts and charities whenever she can. Her work has raised money for a variety of charities such as MIND, DENS, NHS Charities Together, The Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust, the DEC Humanitarian Aid for Ukraine and a couple of other charities whilst resident in Singapore.
Skevi works out of her home studio in Dagnall as well as her new studio space in Tring.
