Livvy King’s research-based practice explores the intersection between nature and humanity, considering themes of addition, subtraction, and conscious observation. Her research examines different methods of physical and psychological healing, as well as women’s roles within society both before and in response to the European Witch Trials.
Her research specifically considers materiality and confronts narratives of female identity, whilst utilising 10+ years of experience working with people who have neurological disorders to convey visually layered works about healing.
Livvy’s studio can be found in the garden of 3 Oak Road, Princes Risborough, HP27 0BW and can be accessed through the side gate of the property. Please note there is a steep driveway and steps without a rail to access the studio. If you are unable to manage the steps, appointment can be made with Livvy to view works on the flat area beneath a lean-to.
