Marc produces a wide range of hand thrown stoneware and porcelain. His work was originally inspired by trips to potteries in the Mediterranean which produce pots vital to everyday domestic life.
He works with stoneware clay and glazes to ensure durability of pots in the home and mixes the glazes himself to achieve various evocative effects.
The oxides of copper and cobalt provide a variety of blues and greens and the double-dipping and overlapping glazes create interesting colours and surface texture. Wax resist patterns are applied which burn away in the firing and leave negative spaces, creating illusions of sea, sky and landscapes.
All of the pottery is microwave, oven and dishwasher proof.
