Enjoy the surroundings of this beautiful Victorian chapel as you browse a display of work by 3 local artists: Pip Hitchen, Sylvia Patchett & Jane Rennie. This is a working studio where we share inspiration and experimentation.
Having completed a course in Fine Art, Pip has enjoyed learning new processes such as gel plate printing, which she then incorporates into her mixed media art. Pip also continues to paint in oils “en plein air” exploring her love of the landscape.
After studying Fashion, Textiles & Art, Sylvia taught for 39 years, and now enjoys the freedom to discover her own creativity. Her beloved Yorkshire is often the inspiration behind her artwork, whether as direct translations of the countryside or through her colour palette choices.
Following careers in both Music & Horticulture, Jane has developed her own style through experimentation with texture and colour. This year she has enjoyed using water mixable oils to complete a series of animal paintings and has rediscovered her love of trees, which has led to painting on a larger scale.
Come and find us in The Old Chapel, Main Street, Padbury opposite the Butcher’s Shop. You will find a warm welcome as well as homemade cakes and refreshments.
