Plein air painting is an essential element to Jackie's work. Producing many fresh small works in oil that delight in the shapes of Nature. She sets out to study every day's different light, tone and colour when returning to similar spaces near her home. No two days are the same so colour temperature fascinates. Some of these will inform larger studio works. Reservoirs, fishing lakes and canals along with farmland all inspire. Also available to see are many figure drawings and portraits in charcoal, pastel and oil.
