Anna is a textile artist based in Milton Keynes. Her work focuses on an abstract sense of place. Her art quilts and stitched art are inspired by urban and rural landscapes, and by small details; a weathered wall, a rusty gatepost. Anna takes photos of these details and interprets what she observes through mark making with dye, print, paint and stitch. She uses a range of surface design techniques, such as screen printing, image transfer, paper lamination and rust dyeing, creating work within a particular colour palette or set of marks.
