My work is mainly thrown on the potter’s wheel and hand decorated. I work with highly white clay bodies in order to achieve a vibrant hand painted colour palette for my illustrations. My illustrations are inspired by regional heritages influenced by people and their stories, landscapes and industries. I decorate each piece freehand drawing from my mind and memories, this results in a distinctive free and expressive aesthetic. Often playing creatively with perspectives the stylised images take on an energetic and painterly quality.
