Mary Leach gained a degree in Art, Design and Marketing at Lancaster University, focusing on illustration and graphic design. The design aspect is still evident in her use of bold colours and dynamic shapes. Her work explores composition and form through colourful palettes creating visually striking pieces.
Inspiration comes from her travels abroad and walks around London, finding the quiet narratives found in everyday encounters.
Mary has her work on permanent display at Skylark Galleries, London (@Skylarkgalleries). Last year the group had a successful exhibition at the Oxo Gallery on the South Bank which will be repeated this Easter. They are also exhibiting at the Affordable Art Fair Hampstead in May.
Mary is heavily involved in the running of the yearly Pinner Sketch Club Exhibition in August and enjoys taking part in other exhibitions locally. Bucks Art Weeks is always a highlight as it allows artists to connect directly with both visitors and other creatives.
