Richard Ballantyne & Carol Read
Richard and Carol have been collaborating for around 17 years. We make Raku Sculpture animals and figurative stoneware sculpture, as well as one off/small batch wheelthrown pottery in stoneware and porcelain.
Often the raku pieces are mounted on found objects, and may incorporate other materials-including wood and metal. The stoneware figures are high fired, and we delight in the serendipitous fluidity of the glazing, creating a flow of colours.
We also exhibit locally at Waterperry Gallery, Waterperry Gardens.
