Exhibiting as part of a group this year. Elaine usually works from her large garden studio in Chesham Bois throwing distinctive and unique wheel thrown pottery that have a purpose in everyday life, focusing on those used for cooking and serving in, oven to table ware, mixing and pouring vessels and dishes used to display food. Mainly high fired stoneware ensuring robust but pleasing designs, dishwasher, microwave and oven safe. An evolving exploration of functional forms subtle mark making and simple glazes to emphasise the nature of the clay. She started potting in 1991 and finally attended an intensive 2 year diploma in Stoke on Trent at Clay College Stoke of which she is now a Trustee.
