I paint fine botanical work in water colours using four or five noughts sized brushes and using a magnifying glass to achieve the fine and correct detail and beauty of the plants . I may paint one specimen on a page , or arrange a group of specimens that would flower together and complement eachother, and the end result can be informal or formal according to what is most appropriate to the subjects. I may paint the specimens in glass jars , bottles, or arrange them with other appropriate vessels, kitchen ware etc, or simply present them on the page as they may grow.
