I mostly paint in oil using traditional methods to support my studies at Edinburgh Atelier of Fine Art; I love using classical techniques to present contemporary themes.
The everyday objects I choose for my still life set-ups are often closely connected with my home, family or friends.
Though pictorially realistic, my paintings are not intended to be purely representational and are usually composed to suggest a particular theme or an element of humour.
Aside from my studio-work, I love exploring looser styles and experimenting with different media - drawing inspiration from my garden and the beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside.
This is my second Bucks Artweeks and I am really excited to be exhibiting alongside some amazing and well-established artists in a beautiful new venue.
I am continuing to learn so much from creating each one of my paintings.
