I started my career as a mental health nurse and gained a place at the Royal School of Needlework in the early naughties. This change of career immersed me in the world of needlework and textiles. Leatherwork seemed the natural progression. Sharing my knowledge with others and teaching followed on naturally from this.
I run my own courses and also offer private tuition in sewing and leather work. Courses this summer include an introduction to leather work, glove making, and making a clergy stole. I have plans for some leather work courses in October. Booking is through my website.
During lock down one I developed an interest in using digital technology and printing within my work. I did not want to waste my growing computer skills. My display will feature some this recent project work.
