Kim McMahon, an Australian born artist has lived in rural North Bucks for 30 years. She has been part of the Gawcott Art group for a number of years.
Her work reflects the many influences taken from her travels over the world. This encompasses the far flung scenes of sunburnt Australian outback as well as our amazing and diverse landscape that makes us Great Britain.
As the UK is her forever home, she delights in painting countryside and coastal scenes, grabbing every opportunity to capture the drama as it unfolds in nature, on her canvas or sketch book.
Acrylics are her choice of medium, loving the depth of texture and colour these can supply. Many of her paintings also involve the use of mixed media to define her style, uniquely enhancing the scene on the canvas or paper you are viewing.
She is involved in a number of art groups and work can also be seen in various venues around North Bucks.
