Ceramic animal sculpture
I am a self taught sculptor and have sold ceramic animals in the UK and beyond through galleries and exhibitions for over 20 years.
My background is in education, teaching mainly Art Dance English, to a range of age groups. Since my particular interest was in Dance Movement, I hope that an inner energy and dynamism is apparent in my animal pieces.
My surface decoration favours oxides with stains to help retain fine detail. However, volcanic crater glazes are chosen when high texture is suited to subject matter, or merely decorative purposes.
Currently I am selling only occasionally from my home gallery and sculpture garden, but am open to the public for 2 to 3 days each week during Bucks Art Weeks. See BAW brochure.
