Contemporary & traditional glass art

Although I started my artistic career teaching Art and Ceramics, I have always been intrigued by the transparency, fluidity and vibrant colours of glass. My glass journey started several years ago with a wonderful, professional stained glass artist, Nicola Kantorowicz. Our glass group still remains close and supportive of each others artistic endeavours. Fused glass followed in a similar way and glass took precedence over ceramics. There are so many creative and technical avenues to explore in the field of glass. Sometimes I wish to be an expert in one dedicated area and other times I’m like a ‘child in a sweet shop’ wanting to try everything. My priority is to choose methods which will enhance and fulfill my artistic intent, bringing my imagination into reality. I may work alone but I am not alone in this pursuit and am ever grateful for the wonderful artistic community I am a part of. We are all passionate about our work in our chosen medium and the joy it gives to us and to others.
