Biography

Rachel studied Fashion & textiles (specialising in embroidery) at Birmingham City University, undertaking both a B.A and an M.A course before graduating in 1994.
Working on a normal domestic sewing machine, she creates land and seascapes, birds and animals using machine embroidery worked over a jigsaw of carefully selected cut and pieced fabrics, drawing and painting with the fabrics and threads.
She exhibits and sells her work through exhibitions and galleries mostly in Bucks and Oxfordshire.
She is a founding member of The Buckinghamshire Craft Guild where she demonstrates three times a month and she regularly takes part in Bucks Art weeks.
