Artist Collective at Westbury

Will has always taken delight in the landscape and the natural environment. With a first degree in Geography followed by a masters in Landscape Design, he was until recently a practising chartered landscape architect whose public realm and parks design work has won awards.

Alongside his career he has also managed to maintain his long-held love of painting. He is now enjoying being able to immerse himself solely in his own artistic interests. He primarily, but not exclusively, focuses on landscapes, working in oils and, less commonly, charcoal and pastel. He is particularly fascinated by the play of weather and light upon the landscape and how the perception of the spatial arrangement of landscape elements can be altered. His curiosity extends to exploring the transition between landscape representation and abstraction at both the detail and larger scales.

Will is a studio holder at Westbury Arts Centre where he is a member of the Artist Collective.
