Jenny is a potter making functional pieces on the wheel in her studio in Turville.
Every pot is a new beginning. I have a silent conversation with them all, reflecting on what refinement they might need or which glaze would best complement their form. I appraise each one and am fairly brutal about it, many don’t make it past the early stages. It takes time and attention to shape each piece, refine it, fire and glaze and fire it again. A wonderful and endless process of curiosity and learning.
I relish the rhythm of ceramics, it is my slow paced art, my joy.
