My artwork celebrates wildlife, focusing on animals and birds through painting and printmaking. I work primarily in watercolour and acrylic, combining a loose, expressive approach with close attention to finer facial details to capture character and presence. My brushwork is energetic and visible, helping to convey movement and life within each piece. I am drawn to the rich colour and versatility of acrylics, while watercolour offers delicate textures and transparency that reflect the natural qualities of my subjects.
Printmaking is an essential part of my practice, with drypoint etching being my preferred method. This process highlights my love of drawing and line, allowing me to explore form, texture and expression in a direct and intuitive way. Across all media, my work is inspired by a deep appreciation of the natural world and a desire to create expressive, tactile images that invite an emotional connection with wildlife.
