Stacey from Meet the Moon has been running workshops with us since we first started out, some 8 years ago…and in that time hundreds of people have come to love her beautiful designs and enjoyed the relaxing and meditative calm that papercutting brings.
Join us this Midsummer for a relaxed and creative Friday evening workshop, where you’ll craft your own beautiful hedgerow papercut cards — inspired by the abundance and detail of the countryside at the height of summer.
In this 2-hour session, you’ll create an intricate papercut design from a single sheet of paper, capturing the wild grasses, seed heads and delicate blooms that line our hedgerows around the summer solstice. Your finished piece will be mounted as a card, ready to send to someone as an unexpected and joyful surprise or keep or yourself.
You’ll have everything you need — materials, tools and full step-by-step guidance — and we’ll be working from Stacey’s pre-drawn templates, so no artistic experience is necessary. Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned crafter, you’ll be carefully guided throughout.
This is the perfect excuse to gather a few friends and spend a long, light summer evening doing something creative together. We’ll be serving glasses of prosecco and Pimm’s as you cut, making it a wonderfully relaxed and sociable way to mark the season.
Papercutting is both calming and absorbing, and Stacey is a superb and experienced facilitator whose workshops are always hugely popular. She’ll be on hand throughout with plenty of practical support to ensure you leave with a beautifully finished hedgerow design — and a lovely memory of a midsummer evening well spent.
The Pavilion Summer Sessions are a series of relaxed evening workshops designed to bring people together through creativity. Each session is a chance to unwind at the end of the week, enjoy a drink, and make something beautiful in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Come with friends or on your own—these easy-going, sociable evenings are all about good company, a little creativity, and starting your weekend feeling inspired. Please note that we will only be able to run this class/course if we have a minimum of 5 guests. All of our teachers are highly skilled in their fields, but being an artist isn’t always a well paid profession so we hope you understand why it’s important that we ensure that our teachers can afford to run each of their classes. Should the class not be able to go ahead we will contact you no less than 2 weeks before it is due to start and we will of course, offer you a full refund.
