A little sewing machine experience would be helpful but really isn’t essential
You can find a full list of what you need to bring below.
Sam Slator’s sewing workshops continue to grow in popularity, inspiring local amateur sewers to dust off their machines and see what they can create. We have run this class several times over the last couple of years and it has been a sell-out every time as it’s such a versatile pattern, perfect for all sorts of adaptations.
In this one-day workshop you will learn how to make a pair of elasticated waist trousers which can be used as pyjama bottoms, yoga pants, shorts or summer trousers. We’ve chosen these because they are a really terrific and versatile piece to start with. Once you have made one pair in our class you can go on to make more at home as gifts but also you can adapt your pattern to work for all fabrics, sizes or lengths or cut them off to make shorts… think yoga trousers with elasticated bottoms, warm & snuggly full length for winter in front of the fire with a good book, kids summer shorts… there’s so much scope with this one pattern under your belt so to speak!
Sam will gently guide you through everything from cutting out the pattern right through to the final touches to make your piece really yours.
This class is suitable for adults but also for teens aged 12+ so if you do want to join your teen and come together we have created a promotional code to save you a few pounds on your booking! Please email jules@whereinspirationblooms.co.uk and we will send you the discount code to use at the checkout.
