I spent five years at Art colleges in the sixties and have been a full time artist since the 70’s. I re-invent what I do by continuously creating new styles of picture making. I combine the experiments of contemporary art with the skills of the Old Masters to my compositions; referencing art history.
Currently my work mirrors the absurdity of the world we inhabit by combining different types of imagery, both realistic and abstract. Making many different drawings in preparation for a composition I combine images that speak about today.
This year I will show some of my ceramic sculptures from the 70s, as well as my later paintings. I am delighted to be showing with seven other diverse and exciting artists at Queens Park Arts Centre June 7th – 21st.
