My work is predominantly thrown on the potter’s wheel and hand decorated. I utilise highly white clay bodies in order to achieve a vibrant hand painted colour palette for my illustrations. The subjects in my illustrations are inspired by regional heritages influenced by people and their stories, landscapes and industries. I decorate each piece freehand drawing from memories, this imparts a distinctive aesthetic in my illustrations. Often playing with perspectives the stylised images take on an energetic and painterly quality.
