Sunneyhill Artists
Emma’s work displays a meticulous crafting of balanced compositions, adorned with textured surfaces that emanate a luminous glow from within the artwork. Whether portraying figures in intimate interiors or capturing the essence of still life, Emma seeks to recreate these compositions through the interplay of patterns and textures. Her process involves drawing into the paint, creating captivating marks that infuse life into the canvas.
Muted colours find themselves in a captivating dance with vibrant shapes, creating a visual dialogue. Emma’s paintings exude a playful energy while occasionally delving into brooding undertones, resulting in works that are both intriguing and exhilarating.
Having earned her Masters in Painting from Wimbledon School of Art in 2004, Emma has exhibited her creations in galleries mainly in London and the South East. She has also shown her work at art fairs in London and more recently abroad with the award winning Carina Haslam Gallery. Notably, Emma was recognized as one of Saatchi Art’s Rising Stars in 2023, standing among a select group of 28 artists globally. Chosen by Saatchi Art’s top curators representing the latest emerging talent.
