Derek is a professional artist who studied Fine Art at The Slade in the 1980’s, and has exhibited extensively in the UK and abroad. His exhibitions include: What Makes Me, What Makes You at the South London Gallery, Space International, Valencia, Spain, the Museum of Optography, Sharjah Foundation, UAE and over 30 films the most recent of which, Bison Hill was awarded numerous awards in Film festivals all over the world.

Derek is currently take part in the 25th Sydney Biennial, running to June 14th 2026
