Anna creates textile artwork inspired by a sense of place and our position within that space. Observations and photos are translated into images and marks using surface design and stitch. Working on cloth and paper, Anna uses dye, acrylics and earth pigments, as well as image transfer and paper lamination. Her work is driven by texture, pattern and colour. She is a member of Art2Stitch, Zero3 Textile Artists and Contemporary Quilt, has exhibited around the UK and Europe, and offers textile workshops and talks. Anna is exhibiting in the lovely market town of Stony Stratford with a group of artists who work in a variety of disciplines. The art will be displayed indoors and outdoors in a large and beautiful garden. There will be refreshments available and a rota of the artists exhibiting to give you a chance to talk to them about the art. At different times, there may be demonstrations too. Please contact us in advance if you wish to meet with a particular artist, as not all are available every day. There is ample on-street parking.
