Exhibition and News
I am gearing up to a busy year of exhibitions and workshops. I am currently finishing a piece for a group exhibition with Art2Stitch which will be touring some of the Grovesnor Shows, with some exciting exhibition news afoot for 2025. I am also delivering workshops on mark making, faux breakdown and paper lamination over the coming year. I am also collaborating with Ellie Rachel Wellness on a mindful workshop of art and yoga in June.
Biography
I create textile artwork with cloth, mixed media and stitch, inspired by a sense of place. I interpret my observations and photos on cloth using surface design processes such as screen printing, image transfer, paper lamination and rust dyeing. My work is driven by texture, pattern and colour. As well as creating textile art for exhibition, I teach workshops and give talks on my work to textile, quilting and embroidery groups. Workshops I deliver include Textile Landscape Collage; Washaway Textiles using water soluble cloth; Paper Lamination; Mark Making using found objects and homemade stamps.
