Biography
Sarah is a mixed-media artist working primarily with acrylic painting and hand embroidery. She lives in a village in Oxfordshire, UK, near Buckinghamshire where she grew up, with her husband and daughter. She has also lived in London, Brighton, and Shanghai, and spent significant time in Tunisia, experiences that have influenced her approach to colour, pattern, and material.
Sarah studied Textiles at The London Institute’s Chelsea College of Art and Design, graduating with a BA (Hons). Following her studies, she worked in the textiles industry for over ten years, including as a partner in a London-based company specialising in experimental woven and printed fabrics for fashion and interiors. Her background in woven textiles continues to inform her artistic practice, inspiring the structural rhythms, patterns, and textures present in her stitched and painted work. She continues to teach while developing her artwork.
