Apart from once again participating in Bucks Art Weeks I am holding a retrospective exhibition in the Barn at the Westbury Arts Centre from 11-4 on 11/12 and 13th of July 2025. I plan to have dated sections and hope this will showcase my artistic journey from my late teens until the present.
My workshops go from strength to strength and I believe this highlights the need for so many people who want to have a go at painting but find it daunting to attend a class where they feel all other participants are “better”. I work very hard to encourage people to enjoy creating their own work in oils and nothing gives me greater pleasure that to see many excellent results and smiles on faces.
Biography
Over the past several years, following my retirement as a surgeon, I have spent increasing amounts of time developing my art. Apart from being reasonably successful in selling both locally nationally and internationally I have been offering tuition both for groups and individuals at the Westbury Arts Centre. It has been extremely interesting and rewarding to see how people enjoy using oil paints, and to see their surprise at some of the excellent results they have achieved has been most gratifying.
