Biography

I am a figurative artist based in Thame with experience in a broad range of media. In recent years I’ve begun to specialise in ceramic sculpture. Inspiration often comes from within and, having completed a diploma in the therapeutic arts, I will often incorporate aspects of a therapeutic angle into my work, particularly with the use of metaphor for self-expression. My creativity is often at its best in the moments of peace and quiet at home when I can tune into my emotional responses to the busyness and madness of modern living.

When it comes to the human form, I take inspiration from my late grandmother Pat Maclaurin who was a brilliant portrait and figure artist.
