Exhibition and News

Exhibitions & News
Current ongoing installations include Long Arm — a life-size orangutan sculpture raising awareness for rainforest conservation and habitat loss — permanently installed at Betws-y-Coed Railway Station, and currently exhibited at Chewton Glen Hotel & Spa.
The sculpture forms part of an ongoing 10-location UK installation trail created by artist Casey Nadine Banwell, designed to encourage public interaction and conversation around deforestation, biodiversity loss, and orangutan conservation. The final installation will permanently reside at The Haven, an orangutan rehabilitation sanctuary in Sumatra, Indonesia.
Casey’s work explores humanity’s relationship with wildlife and the natural world, using sculpture as a form of activism and public engagement.
Casey works from Cut-throat Studios alongside mould maker Emma Pritty, where monumental sculptures are developed through traditional sculpting, mould-making, and casting processes.

Biography

Casey Nadine Banwell is a British sculptor whose work explores the relationship between humanity, wildlife, and the natural world. With a background in the film industry, Casey combines cinematic scale with fine art sculpture, creating emotionally driven works that aim to reconnect audiences with nature and conservation.
Working from Cut-throat Studios, her practice spans monumental animal sculpture, public installations, and conservation-led projects. Her work has supported rainforest protection, pangolin conservation, and orangutan rehabilitation programmes, including the purchase of protected rainforest land in Sumatra.
Recent projects include Long Arm, a life-size orangutan sculpture forming part of a 10-location UK installation trail, raising awareness about deforestation and the impact of palm oil production. The final installation will permanently reside at The Haven.
