Amrita Nanda

Amrita Nanda: This artwork Ethereal Bloom - is a feeling of calm amidst the forest quietness that heightens our senses. I have always wanted to paint these passion flowers, these are so precise and yet so delicate. This piece of art is a combination of the ethereal, mask-like face and the intricate Passion Flowers creating a serene, an almost meditative atmosphere. A bridge between the physical world and the spiritual realm, with a sense of fragrance and glow making the flower alive. This artwork can also be viewed at night or in dark, to see the glowing Ethereal Bloom!Amrita Nanda: Amrita Nanda: Amrita Nanda:

Biography

Welcome to a surreal escape into my world!
I am Amrita, a Surrealist Artist based in Milton Keynes, UK. My artistic roots lie in Odisha, India, flourishing through accolades at Mayo College Girls’ School and culminating in a Bachelor’s degree with two Gold Medals in Visual Arts from M.S. University, Baroda.

After exploring the corporate world as a Visual Merchandiser, I returned to my true passion. My work is a bold, colourful expression of the “real as surreal.” Using various mediums, I capture movement and emotion, drawing inspiration from nature, dreams, and my experiences across India and the UK. My goal is to make the invisible visible—creating a silent, felt conversation between the artwork and the viewer.

I have exhibited across London, Northampton, Stafford, and Milton Keynes. Beyond creating, I run ‘Arty with Ams’ classes, volunteer at Brooklands Farm Primary School, accept commissions, and am an active member of the South Asian Artists’ Community (SAAC).
