Exhibition and News
Recent exhibitions have been at the Wendover Arts Festival; Longwick Art Show; Pop-Up Art Weekend Chilterns Neuro Centre, Wendover; Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2024, London; and with the Buckinghamshire Art Society in Beaconsfield and Wendover. I was recently chosen as the overall winner and winner of the wall art category at the Swire Ridgeway Arts Prize 2024 for my mixed media drawing ‘Passing Whitehorse Hill’.
Biography
My work depicts the local landscape, layering location, geographical references and elements of the local flora and fauna. The paintings and mixed media drawings I create, capture the differing perspectives of the landscape – combining real location with fragments of maps – morphing real places with imagined worlds. Recent drawings refer to the man-made and the organic by combining trees, leaves and maps together, with the beech leaf becoming a reoccurring motif throughout my work.
I exhibit regularly throughout Buckinghamshire and I am a member of the Bucks Art Society.
