Biography

Sally McIver is inspired by the beauty of our surroundings, whether the sea or more normally in the Chilterns, gentle rolling hills, forests and flowers. She sold her first painting whilst working on a ski resort in the 80’s but did not pick up her paint brush so intentionally until giving up her charity work. Her paintings are infused by her love of colour, no doubt influenced by her travels in her charity work to Africa and Central America. Vibrancy is a common theme and beauty is the motivation, the painting process and the artwork allowing us to slow down and savour the enjoyment and appreciation of this beauty. She is a graduate of Create Academy in the States and her training has led her to live painting, community art projects and painting for inner healing. She loves the conversations art can facilitate and is privileged to have trained with several leading artists.
