Biography

I am a painter working primarily in oil and watercolour, creating portraits, figurative works, and landscapes. Whether studying the human form or responding to the natural world, my practice is rooted in an exploration of shape and colour.

Weekly portrait sessions provide me with a constant source of inspiration, offering fresh and diverse faces and the opportunity to experiment with expressions and deepen my understanding of the human form.

Beyond the studio, I love to paint in the great outdoors, embracing the unpredictability of changing weather and light. Working directly from nature challenges me to capture the immediacy of a moment before it slips away. 

This balance between structured study and responsive, on‑location painting provides me with constant opportunities to continue to improve my practice.
