Ceramic sculpture artist
Ascott Artists

James Aldous is a Young Artist Member of Bucks Artists and Makers.
He is a ceramist and sculptor based in Milton Keynes having studied at the University of Westminster in Fine Art and undergoing a residency with MIlton Keynes College, with a practice that focuses on clay’s materiality and its interaction with people. Using clays plasticity to explore human connection to objects with the marks left from the making process. Finger prints, rogue scratches and cracks within the clay bodies, that leave an evidence of the marker for years to come and how clay then responds back to human touch letting the clay have voice and agency within their work. James’s work will be on show with a range of artists also new to Bucks Arts Weeks at Ascott House, Wing, In the Long room.
