Having enjoyed art as a subject throughout my secondary education, I completed a Foundation Art course before doing a degree in graphic design with a specialism in technical illustration. The primary focus of my career since then has been in studio environments or as a freelance designer. Painting however has come later in life, and the journey I am now on is one of exploration, experimentation and discovery. I enjoy working in a mix of media, and use photography or my own imagination and experiences for reference in my work. A passion for drawing and the use of line has always existed, but the simple joy of mark-making is something that I particularly enjoy, and this has allowed me to break free a little and dabble with the abstract and work that is more expressive…
