Artists & makers in historic Laceys Yard

Laceys Yard, alongside Cox the Saddler and opposite Roots café, dates from 1649 and includes a cottage workshop. Come through the scented garden and into the shop, then through to the light, airy galleries to see the work of the artists, alongside a collection of local history photographs.

The Good Earth Gallery sells original, affordable art from its Chesham High Street premises, where our themes are nature, roots and sunshine. We showcase local artists & makers and host exhibitions of broad artistic appeal; also sculpture, ceramics, jewellery and glass art.

There is a strong link between art and wellbeing. The calm, beautiful gallery space is used for evening meditation classes. We also stock a range of leaflets, posters and books on walks, gardening and wildlife. You’ll even find locally-made honey.

A broad range of local books and images are on sale – of much use to the genealogist and historian. We have designed and published over 25 titles, with more in progress.
