Jay Nolan-Latchford is a local award-winning artist, designer, illustrator and much sought-after tutor. We are very fortunate that for the last 3 years she has chosen to teach workshops at The Barn.
Jay’s workshops are always highly sought after, not only because they are great fun, but also because no matter what level your artistic experience or skills, everyone leaves with a piece of work that they feel truly proud of (and often surprised that they could create!).
The vibrant colours and watercolour layers in this snowdrop painting bring this beautiful subject to life. With wax resist techniques and the magical qualities of rock salt everyone’s will be unique. Professional artist and award winning tutor Jay will guide you step by step through the process from a simple drawing to mounting your finished piece.
Jay is running a number of different workshops and art classes with us this term. To see them all visit
SAFETY & SECURITY
At the time of writing the local covid situation remains unpredictable so please rest assured that for all of our workshops we carefully consider both the safety of you, our guests, and that of our community of teachers as our main priority.
We review national guidelines and recommendations daily and will be taking all the recommended steps to ensure your maximum safety.
Currently our indoor workshops are taking place with windows open and we expect people to wear masks whilst moving around the building. We ask that all guests bring their own hand sanitisers and hand towels to reduce the risk of cross contamination.
We are also constantly reviewing whether or not to serve refreshments at our workshops, making a final decision a few days before each individual workshop.
You will be notified of the safety measures applicable to this workshop via an email a few days before the workshop is due to take place and if necessary we reserve the right to change them at very short notice should the covid situation change.
This is undoubtedly our least favourite part of running workshops, and certainly not something we envisaged when we started our business 4 years ago but it is absolutely vital that we keep you as safe as possible. We hope you understand.
We very much look forward to welcoming you to The Barn,
