What will I learn?
Beginners will be introduced to the art of stained glass, learning the basic techniques required to make a stained glass panel. Alternatiely they can start to eplore the exciting world of glass fusing with a beginners bootcamp
Those who already have knowledge of the basic skills will have the opportunity to improve their technique, increase their confidence in designing their own work and if desired, to tackle more advanced skills like glass painting, sandblasting and etching.

The aim is that learners will be working towards making a panel for a specific setting so that they learn all the skills from measuring the opening to the final installation. Or make a fused glass piece and, depending on your progress, you will have the opportunity to work on further projects.
During the course learners will be enouaged to keep a reflective diary, as a fundamental part of the creative process is learning to critique and self-reflect on your work. At the start of the course the tutor will discuss the best way for you to do this.

Is this course for me?
This course is for beginners and those with some experience. It is for anyone who enjoys being creative and would like to work with colour and light to make an attractive piece of art.
During the course, the tutor will provide small group demonstrations and individual support to ensure that learners can work at their own level and at their own pace.
