In this workshop, you will be given the opportunity to make, a suncatcher, framed picture or a freestanding wave or curve. I will start you off by giving you some basic information on glass fusing and introduce you to the different types of glass you will be using to create your glass piece. I will be able to show you examples of the different types of effects you can achieve with the glass provided. Armed with this information, you can draw out a design, and start creating your masterpiece. I will be with you all the way, with help and advice when needed.
After your workshop, I will fire your piece in my kiln and do any cold work necessary. For example, sanding, moulding, framing etc. Your piece should be ready for you to collect approximately 1 week later, but we will discuss this on the day.
Due to the fact that my studio is small, this workshop is only suitable for a small number of people, from 10 years to adult. I would suggest 2 or 3 people is a good option, as it gives you someone else to share your ideas with and is more cost effective, but you will still get the individual attention of a private lesson.
The session is approximately 2.5 hours long – but this does depend on how quickly you work.
